My Review Of The Cold Steel Bushman Survival Knife
Most endurance knives will fail. Cold Steel developed their Bushman endurance knives with this thought in mind. With a recommended retail value of $29.99, you might not anticipate much in footing of strength or cutting ability.
I recently picked up a Bushman of my ain and here are my thoughts:
What I like about the Bushman:
1. The leaf blade was razor crisp right out of the box.
It is made from SK-5 high C steel, which is very tough and throws a good edge.
2. The hollow manage gives you a batch of different possibilities. You can maintain matches, igniters or other endurance gear wheel in the Bushman's handle.
You can also attach the Bushman to a wooden shaft in the wilderness and bend it into a annihilating spear.
3. Cold Steel's Bushman is hollow ground. This agency that the leaf leaf blade tapers down to a razor thin edge, which gives you precise film editing ability.
The blade is still thick adequate to defy a batch of punishment.
4. The original Cold Steel Bushman is made with a lance point. Cold Steel also do the knife with a James Bowie style blade.
Both leaf leaf blade styles are rugged adequate to manage nature's fury.
What I didn't like:
1. I felt that the leaf blade could have got been a spot thicker. But for $30 Iodine will settle down for 3/32".
2. The sheath can be a small spot more rugged. The cordura sheath makes aid to maintain costs down as well.
Overall:
The Cold Steel Bushman endurance knife is a bargain for the price. I highly urge it for camping, hiking, or endurance activities.
